I have been searching for the perfect doughnut in Amman, trying to find something similar to that doughnut we used to buy on a stick next to King Abdullah Gardens (7ada’ek al malek Abdullah) as kids. I'm not sure if it was good or I just mistakenly remember it as good.

It has been a frozen February. The air has a biting iciness to it and it has sent me straight into the arms of my kitchen for some warmth and goodness. It’s been six months since my last post—I have been in lack of inspiration. Probably because I’m on a complex gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free diet which has limited me tremendously, but with time I have grown accustomed to it, and I have found my ways to culinary satisfaction.

To satisfy my sweet tooth last night I headed to Auntie Hanady’s Cheesecake & Cookies to check it out... What a pleasant surprise this new spot was! Over 20 different cheesecakes to choose from as well as a variety of cookies and muffins. I had the Oreo Cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious. Very similar to Cheesecake Factory in the US if you’ve ever tried it. Their coffee is Illy brand which I love, but unfortunately they did not have milk for a cappuccino or latte.
